E-bike
For many people looking to ride longer distances, an e-bike is usually the top choice. Be it for a cycle tour or the daily commute to work. However, the electric components of an e-bike require different care than the mechanical components of a conventional bike. Why?
- Higher torques are associated with an electric drive. Important drive parts such as your cassette, chain or chain ring should be particularly resistant.
- A higher speed also means that your braking force must be significantly stronger. Reinforced rotors, brake pads, etc. are therefore essential and should also be checked regularly.
- If your e-bike is not in use for a longer time, this has an impact on electronic parts such as the battery. Protective covers keep your e-bike safe from moisture and cold when parked, and prevent damage during transport.
Here we will see an overview which CONTEC bike parts and accessories are suitable for your e-bike. If you would like to find out more about the wearing parts of your e-bike, take a look at the "Make your bike better" section.
Lights
Most e-bikes (unless it's an e-MTB) are already fitted with front and rear lights that are powered by the battery on the bike. If a bulb goes out, this is of course annoying, but can be easily replaced.

G-LINK
Brake levers, bell, e-bike display, rearview mirror... anyone who rides an e-bike knows how quickly the handlebars can become full of accessories. We have developed our CONTEC G-Link system to eliminate this clutter and ensure greater ergonomics on the handlebars.
G-Link creates a direct connection between your grips and your accessories. Thanks to the 14-edged ring on our G-Link grips and accessories, they can be seamlessly arranged side by side. This brings attachments such as the bell, mirror or Bosch remote closer to your hands, which not only ensures a tidy look but also improves ergonomics.
Saddles
If you want to make your e-bike more comfortable, you usually start with the saddle. And that's a right thing to do! After all, the pre-assembled saddle is often just a standard model that has a generic shape and is made from conventional materials. Every cyclist is different in terms of anatomy, comfort requirements and riding style. That's why you should choose a saddle that meets your exact requirements. In the CONTEC saddle range, you will find a large selection of different models that could suit you as an e-bike rider.
Wheels
E-bike wheels not only have to withstand the high speeds, but also the high loads. This is because many e-bikes weigh around 30 kilograms and if you add the weight of the rider and luggage to this, you quickly end up with over 100 kilograms. Our wheels are designed to handle a maximum system weight of up to 150 kilograms, making them perfect for e-bikes as well. Then you just need to check what kind of e-bike you are riding: You should equip a city or trekking e-bike with our Zen Disc Eroq wheels. The sizes in the range start at 20 inches, which means that cargo and compact bikes can also ride on Zen Disc Eroq wheels. E-MTB riders, on the other hand, will be pleased with our Xeta Core and Exit Core wheels!
CONTEC DLUX 120 E-XTENT
The 120 lux CONTEC DLUX 120 E-XTENT front light makes you highly visible to all road users and lights up your path like daylight, even in the dark. The light is designed to be connected to the DC system of your e-bike and therefore requires no manual charging or batteries. The front light also features a high beam that brightens your path even more on straight roads and when there's no oncoming traffic. The high beam works entirely wireless. A radio-controlled switch makes it easy to turn the high beam on and off.
CONTEC TL-335 E-Stop
The CONTEC LED rear rack light TL-335 E-Stop signals to the traffic behind you when you are braking hard and coming to a stop. Then the two Osram LEDs light up even more brightly with their reflector.
Pedals
You have to pedal despite the support of your e-bike battery - but it's easier with sensible pedalling surfaces! Have you ever heard of XXL pedals? Not only are they larger and more robust than conventional models, they can also support a system weight of up to 180 kilograms!

Seatposts
Suspension or rigidity? Dropper or static? There are many seatposts - more and more technologies are being developed to provide cyclists like you with a comfortable riding experience. At CONTEC you will also find a variety of different seatposts. But which one can we recommend for e-bike riders?
Protection
When transported on the roof or rear rack, the electronic components of your e-bike are often exposed to wind and weather without protection. To protect the motor, handlebar, battery, display and contacts, our Neo.Protect collection offers innovative covers to protect your e-bike. The waterproof and soft neoprene prevents the ingress of water and dirt and acts as a shock absorber against stone chips.

Your bike, your adventure
CONTEC Sonic
Thanks to their special anti-slip design, CONTEC Sonic saddles keep you safe at high speeds and on winding roads. That's why they are also ideal for e-bikes! The saddles consist of an AirFoam filling that absorbs shocks. If you ride over a cobbled road or kerb, for example, the abrupt movements are gently compensated, which is particularly gentle on your back. The Sonic series includes saddles for city bikes, trekking e-bikes and e-MTBs.
CONTEC Nara Air Link+
The first choice for this question is always our Nara Air Link+ parallelogram suspension seatpost! With its combination of steel and air springs, the Nara Air Link+ ensures a particularly comfortable ride that effectively absorbs shocks and bumps with its 58mm travel. The easy adjustment to the rider's weight makes this child’s play. Speaking of children: the matching neoprene protection prevents kids sitting in the child seat from reaching into the suspension.
CONTEC Battery.ProTect
What to do with the battery when you're not riding your e-bike? Ideally, you should never leave the battery on the bike, because then it is not only exposed to the risk of theft, but can also be damaged in the long term. The fireproof Battery.Protect battery bag made of silicone-coated fibreglass fabric is the ideal storage place for Intube, rack and frame batteries from various manufacturers such as Bosch and Shimano. Batteries with a maximum circumference of 37 cm and a maximum length of 50 cm fit in the bag. Battery.Protect has a roll-top fastener with metal hooks and a padded neoprene inner sleeve so that your e-bike battery is always stowed away safely.
