CONTEC Treasure
Hidden treasures
Every good set of basic equipment for a bike tour includes the right tools, for example readjusting the saddle height on the fly. But where to put the hexagon socket spanner set, the ratchet or the chain rivet? Especially with filigree bikes, there is often not enough space for large panniers, or you simply don't want to carry heavy luggage. These are all reasons for multitools to be integrated directly into the bike!
Integrated multitools
The CONTEC Treasure series comprises four tools that can be safely hidden in the steering tube or bar ends like a treasure. The most versatile of these is the Treasure Fork, which is mounted in the head tube. Three different Treasure Bar Tools are designed for mounting in the bar ends. Depending on the version, the mini tools made from CNC-milled aluminium can lend you a helpful hand in a bad spot.
Treasure Fork
Treasure Fork has a mini ratchet with a reversible lever that can be fed with six different bits hidden in the handle of the ratchet. Two chain rivet pins can also be inserted, which can be used with the integrated chain rivet. Two tyre levers made of robust nylon, which are also suitable for carbon rims, round off the Treasure Fork Tool's range of functions.
An assembly tool is included for fitting the multitool. The Treasure Fork fits all straight 1 1/8” head tubes that are at least 15cm long. Note: Tapered head tubes are not compatible with the tool.
Treasure Bar DLX
Thanks to its clever design, the Treasure Bar DLX can be fitted into any bar end, where it is safely stored and ready to be used. Eleven different bits made of tool steel can be inserted into the magnetic head to operate all common screws on your bike. A tyre lever made of glass fibre-reinforced nylon offers help in the event of a flat tyre.
There are several O-rubber rings to suit the mounting of the integrated multitool, which covers the usual inner diameters of straight bike handlebars. Once you have found the right ring, simply push it up to the head of the tool and screw the Treasure Bar DLX into the bar end. Please note: To stabilise the tool inside the handlebars you can slide one of the remaining rubber rings onto the end of the tool for mounting. This way, the Treasure Bar DLX won't wobble when riding your MTB on uneven terrain, for example.
Treasure Bar TL
Attention tubeless fans: The Treasure Bar TL is a repair tool for tubeless tyres! The tool fits perfectly into the bar end and is easily reachable in the event of a puncture. The Treasure Bar TL contains an insertion tip with reamer and two 3,5mm and 1,5mm thick rubber patches.
Fitting works in the same way as described for the Treasure Bar DLX.
Treasure Bar Eco
The Treasure Bar Eco is the compact version of our integrated tools for the bar end but is just as useful in the event of a flat tyre. It contains two tyre levers made of glass fibre-reinforced nylon. They are particularly robust and at the same time gentle on tyres and rims. The Treasure Bar Eco also has a small storage compartment in which you can store your cash, for example.
The assembly works in the same way as described for the Treasure Bar DLX.
NOTE
In addition to the Treasure Tools, there are many other options for storing tools directly on your bike or e-bike. The CONTEC Space Tool bottle cage offers you a safe place for your bottle and also houses a mini tool with nine functions.
